About us

When Words Meet, Inc. is a corporation that has word creations on paper that are the definition of beauty.

I, Shannon A. Young, a Poet since the age of 11 years old, renowned for my “What We Love About Mom” poem followed by my heartfelt “Why Do We Hate Each Other?”. Also, I recently wrote poems that are included in my recently published book, A walk, which were greatly influenced by the theme of a couple walking through life together.

Noticeably all of the poems all have the prefix "A walk”. Some of the poems have a literal meaning while others are figurative, which allows the reader to dissect the writings and/or simply read them for enjoyment purposes.

When Words Meet, Inc. produces it's poems, literature, books and lyrics in a timely manner. Not only that, but they are heart-felt and progressive. My work is insprired by life and tend to be ratherly light-hearted.

What We Love About Mom

When we ask ourselves, what we love about mom;
countless wonderful thoughts come to mind
We think of the millions of words that you say;
that seem to always wipe our sorrows away.
We think of your dedication, determination, your devotion
you are like the moon to our stars and the sand to our ocean
We think of your kindness, your comfort, and your compassion;
you laugh when we joke and you hurt when we cry.
As bright as can be, we see a bright light;
so bright that it shines on our shadows in the darkness of night
we feel a warm heart, an undying mother's love, a love that's so deep
It's a bond that we know for eternity we will keep
We feel your gentle kisses, your warm hugs and good nights;
to know that our mom loves us is such a great delight
Well, we may ask ourselves what we love about mom, without her
we are like birds without wings;
You are the breath that we breathe and the song that we sing.

Poetry

Why Do We Hate Eachother?

Why do we hate eachother?
Haven't our mothers taught us wrong from right?
At night, how do you get to sleep?
Why don't you look deep in your heart and find the right part and see the pain?
Do you think you'll gain power?
Or does it make you feel bad?
Don't you wish you had the love and peace there once was?

— Shannon A. Young, 1995

Poetry

A Walk in the Dark

Tender-hearted souls searching for alleys,
searching for alleys down the wrong alleys.
Up hills, down valleys, through villages.

a mountains edge.

Gentle touching and feeling for peace,
feeling for peace with their peace.
Through pain, hurts, deep wedges.

a pledge.

Pressure building making it lifted,
making it lifted, a weight lifted.
Living a new life in a home, change.

a marriage.

Little footsteps walking open arms,
walking open arms into our arms.
Learning a way to see, preg.

a carriage.

Work remaining with a lasting respect,
lasting respect for longevity, trust and respect.
A walk in the dark.

a heritage.

Lyrics

Birthday Dance

Fance. This song will make you dance. This song will make you dance. Fance. This song will make you. This song will make you move. All clap. All clap.

Prep up. It’s a birthday, party now.
One year older.
One year older happy cry. Feeling nice is a natural high.
Both hands in the air. All smiles.
Many social shouts. More phone dials.
A lot lot more phone call dials.
A lot lot more phone call dials.

Fance. This song will make you dance. This song will make you dance. Fance. This song will make you dance. This song will make you dance. Fance. This song will make you. This song will make you move. All clap. All clap.

Birthday suit, for the win, makes an outfit with, charmed style.
Birthday suit, is a ten. Wait. Let that sink in, for a while.
Bows and ribbons, gifts and gifts. Presents in presence, for miles.
Wonders who what when where why and how. Making Happy Happy Birthday sounds.
Five four three two and one. Happy Birthday. Shout it out.
Happy Birthday. Shout it out. Happy Birthday. Shout it out.
Five four three two and one. Happy Birthday. Shout it out.
Happy Birthday. Shout it out. Happy Birthday. Shout it out. Out.

Lyrics

The Wait

Staring at the clock
and losing time
When
When will love come
And will
will it be mine
Like a rhy-thm to a rhyme
I
I need some hope
Send
Send me a sign

I need some patience
the wait seems too long
Could this
this be love or could I
I be wrong
I'm feeling weary
please make
make me strong
It seems like forever
near the end
end of a song

Out of the blue the two made a match
both are in love
great catches
This only scratches
the surface of the love
the love that has hatched

Written, produced and sang by Shannon A. Young Golden Symphony song. Click play to listen.
Lyrics

Golden Symphony

Sweet music at last we jumped the broom
All I see is you and me in the room
Floating on clouds filled the air
Golden Symphony playing musical tunes

Walking to the beat smile on chord
Whisper quietly in his ear oh lord
I bat an eyelash him smiling ear to ear
He loosened his tie my vision not clear

On bended knee face to face with me
We've waited for this moment as long as can be
He raises the bar with every touch of his hand
Slow up the tempo coming from the band

Lyrics

Crawl Baby

The bottoms of her hands. The tips of her fingers ground gripping.
souls slipping as she is goal gaining.
She’s aging my baby’s growing.
My heart is paining but it’s life changing life changing.

[Wait for new beat]

Trail blazing like crazy.
Crawling forward look how they raised me.
Go baby go crazy don't let anything phase me.
Baby keep crawling (hold the note)
keep crawling baby (hold the note).
[Wait for new beat]

Moves like a choreagraphed dance number.
Right hand left hand in front of the other.
spectators mother father sisters and brothers.

Lyrics

No Blood, No Sweat and No Tears

We will shed no blood, shed no sweat, shed no tears, those tears, we feared.
That is how it will be. Finally.

The day is here and the time is right
For no blood no sweat and no tears, that's right.
Our vision is clear, people hold a hand, people light a light
We have no fears, let us end this fight
For a world isn't peaceful when its peace is full of hurt.
We're living for tomorrow, we're not living for the dirt.

All lives are spared, before weapons, you first care
Truth or dare
Do you bear arms or do you dare in the midst of calm?
In the midst of warfare
No transfusions, no confusion, No executions
A solution

Prim Loves Proper

Prim loves proper
Prim loves proper
New age diction supplier
Outfits always dapper
Educated knowledge dropper
He's a show stopper
That's why Prim loves proper

An interview with Mister opened my ears
An interview with Mister opened my ears
Words flowed out so sophisticated to hear
Words flowed out so sophisticated to hear
He held a slanted smile but still spoke clear
He held a slanted smile but still spoke clear
Could he be the one to erase broken-hearted fears
Could he be the one to erase broken-hearted fears

He has a walk that catches all eyes
He has a walk that catches all eyes
Manners on a man that's handsome to the wise
Manners on a man that's handsome to the wise
He gets it on the first tries
He gets it on the first tries
Prim loves proper her love for him never dies
But rises

Prim loves proper
Prim loves proper
New age diction supplier
Outfits always dapper
Educated knowledge dropper
He's a show stopper
That's why Prim loves proper

Lyrics

A Cold World

Against the wind
Against my face
A cold world
Cold case

Rumors told
She's a hoe
Between the sheets
Laying in doe

Guilty before innocent
Rap sheet long
Judgement before testament
The system wrong
Ring finger frosty
Like a goose down vest
Black diamonds crossed t
Pink diamond crest

Inhumane treatment
Closed open doors
Laying on cold cement
Fighting cold wars

Against the wind
Against my face
A cold world
Cold case

Lyrics

VIP

Very important person every day no acronym necessary
Walking with a butler holding my umbrella for me no carry
Car service lets me in front of the club no worry

Me and the girls naw me and the guys feel like poppin bottles tonight VIP style
Plan to be so done that we have to breathalyze and walk a mile
Not done just getting started
Pre gaming with the shorties the fellas naw the miniatures before we hit the club
Tipsy as we go out of the door off of the mini bub
Car service

Very important person every day no acronym necessary
Walking with a butler holding my umbrella for me no carry
Car service lets me in front of club driving no worry

Enter through the side door straight to VIP now the party starts
The club line is parted and it’s off the charts
Top Shelf Bourbon Vodka Gin Cognac Tequila Rum
She’s so drunk no he’s so drunk they might get some
Two shots for the lady in the club three shots for the guy in the corner
He’s doing the walking man to a looker looking good just might Inform her

Very important person every day no acronym necessary
Walking with a butler holding my umbrella for me no carry
Car service lets me in front of club driving no worry

He takes a bottle to the head and she chases it
The drinks keep flowing and music bumpin party’s lit
